What is end of tenancy cleaning?

As the name suggests, end of tenancy cleaning is a type of deep clean undertaken when a tenant moves out of a property. The clean ensures that the property is ‘reset’ for the next tenant – leaving it spotless and ready for immediate occupancy.

Our friendly, expert team offers end of tenancy cleaning services across:

  • Manchester – including Stockport, Wigan, Bolton and Salford
  • Cheshire – including Northwich, Crewe, Chester and Macclesfield
  • Lancashire – including Blackburn, Preston and Burnley
  • Staffordshire – including Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford
  • Yorkshire – including Barnsley, Halifax and Bradford.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is it worth getting an end of tenancy clean before I move out of my apartment or house?

Trust us, you’ll be glad you did! An end of tenancy clean may be something you feel you can tackle yourself, but when the day comes you’ll be glad you hired the professionals.

Our equipment and expertise mean that as well as having one less thing to stress over when it comes to moving, you’ll have the peace of mind that every base has been covered to a professional standard.

Who should pay for an end of tenancy clean – tenant or landlord?

Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, a landlord cannot force a tenant to pay for an end of tenancy clean. However, they can request that a property is cleaned to a professional standard before handing back the keys.

In general, tenants should always return the property in the same state as it was when they got the keys. For example, if your carpet was deep cleaned before moving in, you may be expected to deep clean it again before moving out.

Landlords may keep a part of the deposit for issues with the property’s state on its return, forgoing reasonable ‘fair wear and tear’, e.g. small scuffs on walls or worn-down flooring.

Does end of tenancy cleaning include oven cleaning?

Our services can include a bolt-on deep clean to your oven, hob, and extractor fan. We use professional products and techniques to help your oven look good as new.

Does end of tenancy cleaning include carpet cleaning?

Depending on the needs of your property, carpet cleaning can be added as part of an end of tenancy deep clean. We use industrial carpet cleaning equipment to ensure we get the very best results.

Can you remove large amounts of rubbish and waste?

Yes. We are a licensed waste carrier for end of tenancy cleaning in Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire. All our waste is disposed of correctly and – where possible – recycled.
